In honor of NY Music Month and the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop, the Disability advocacy hip hop movement 4 Wheel City, has announced it will be releasing a 4 part podcast series called “WHO SHOT YA” (Hip Hop saved US). The series will be hosted by 4 Wheel City co-founder TapWaterz, and will consist of conversations with hip hop artists who were left paralyzed due to gun violence, and discussing how hip hop music helped them overcome their setbacks. The 1st episode will be out on June 16 (Tupac’s birthday) on 4 Wheel City’s Youtube channel. The series is being sponsored by the NYC Mayor’s office of Media and Entertainment in celebration of NY Music Month, and bringing awareness to Gun Violence Awareness month in June as well.
