West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg is using his influence to encourage youth to stay in school. Snoop teamed up with rap duo and disability activists 4 Wheel City for the ‘Welcome to Reality G-Mix‘ recently. “This is not just a record it’s a movement,” Snoop said in a statement. “It’s a feeling! I’m down with the movement, we are about doing something righteous.”

The group will also kick off the Welcome to Reality tour which uses music as a medium to enlighten youth on the dangerous consequences of forgoing education for the pull of street life. 4 Wheel City members, Namel “Tapwaterz” Norris, and, Ricardo “Ricfire” Velasque, who motivationally rap from their wheelchairs, will tour high schools and hospitals around the country to both entertain and educate their audience. “We are excited to team up with Snoop Dogg,” said Tapwaterz. “He is the perfect artist for this project. Kids love Snoop and he has the street credibility they will listen to.”

All proceeds from the song, which will be available for download via ReverbNation.com, will be used to produce an accompanying public service announcement/music video. 4 Wheel City will debut ‘Welcome to Realty G-Mix’ during a live performance at the Canadian Association for Musical Therapy on May 15.
